About the Role:
As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that refugees and clients receive the financial assistance they need in a timely and accurate manner. You’ll process payment requests, manage prepaid card orders, and collaborate with caseworkers and other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing: Process refugee payment requests using financial databases and systems.
- Prepaid Card Management: Ensure accurate and timely request and approval of client prepaid card orders.
- ERP System Management: Enter payments and update vendor/client information in the ERP system.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly card requests, entity creation reports, and assist in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the admin assistant, case specialists, and supervisors for the Virtual R&P program.
- Grant Management: Assist in preparing grant spending reports.
- Financial Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and tracking GiveCard delivery status and actual expenditures of the VR&P administrative budget.
Job Requirements:

- Skills & Abilities:
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Working knowledge of accounting software.
- Experience working with 3rd party pre-paid card services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience working in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting or finance roles, particularly in the refugee resettlement field or non-profit sector.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of the US resettlement program.
- Technical Skills: Experience with cloud-based planning tools (Power BI) and ERP systems.
