About the Role

As a Virtual Teacher at Imagine Learning, you’ll play a vital role in providing personalized academic support to students in online courses. You’ll guide them through their coursework, offer tutoring and mentoring, and create a positive and engaging learning environment.

This is a fully remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States. We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities, with a flexible schedule between the hours of 7 AM and 7 PM local time.

Responsibilities

• Academic Guidance: Provide guidance and support to students, clearly communicating course requirements and academic integrity guidelines.
• Content Enrichment: Augment course content through remediation, modification, and enrichment activities.
• Instructional Delivery: Prepare for and facilitate synchronous instructional sessions in an online learning platform.
• Tutoring and Mentoring: Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions via web conferencing and virtual whiteboard technologies.
• Individualized Support: Implement accommodations and modifications as required by individual education plans.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and clients to ensure student success.
• Professional Development: Participate in onboarding training, contribute to curriculum support, and engage in professional learning communities.
• Maintain Credentials: Keep your educator licenses, clearances, and required credentials up-to-date.

Qualifications

• Education & Certification: Teacher certification is required.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a teacher.
• Skills:
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn new technology and online systems quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
