The Opportunity
As an Account Executive – Enterprise at Plaid, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding our reach and bringing our innovative solutions to large companies across North America. You’ll build a robust sales pipeline, identify and qualify potential enterprise clients, foster relationships with key decision-makers, and close transformative deals.
You’ll be more than just a salesperson; you’ll be a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the complexities of integrating Plaid’s technology and unlocking its full potential for their businesses. Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Building: Proactively identify and qualify potential enterprise clients. Leverage your network and industry knowledge to engage with key decision-makers and create a steady stream of opportunities.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan tailored to your specific vertical or category of accounts. Understand the unique needs and challenges of your target market and craft a compelling value proposition.
- Product Advocacy: Become a subject matter expert on Plaid’s products and services. Articulate their value and technical advantages to potential clients, addressing their pain points and demonstrating how Plaid can drive their success.
- Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within prospect and customer accounts. Ensure their ongoing satisfaction and act as a trusted advisor throughout their journey with Plaid.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with sales development, account management, technical account management, implementation, product, and other teams to deliver a unified and exceptional customer experience.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: 7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in a new-revenue role, with a demonstrated track record of closing enterprise-level deals. At least three years of experience focused on enterprise customers is required.
- Sales Acumen: Possess strong prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills. Adopt a consultative sales approach with a focus on understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Strategic Mindset: Experience working with sales development and deploying a territory or vertical-focused revenue strategy.
- Technical Understanding: Experience selling API-based solutions and a strong grasp of API consumption and integration.
- Passion for Fintech: Excitement about understanding complex solutions and the desire to become deeply knowledgeable about Plaid’s product and use cases.
