In this impactful role, you’ll provide expert legal guidance and transactional support to business clients seeking to procure goods and services. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of remote work with the opportunity to collaborate in person at one of several Medtronic office locations.
A Day in the Life:
- Contractual Expertise: Analyze, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including complex product development, supply chain, and contract manufacturing agreements.
- Strategic Advisor: Provide clear, practical legal advice to business clients on risk mitigation, relevant laws, and emerging trends.
- Dispute Resolution: Support dispute resolution with third parties through negotiation, settlements, and legal expertise.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across the organization, including Security, Regulatory, Quality, Federal Contracts, and Trade Compliance teams.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to update templates, draft playbooks, and provide training to ensure consistent contracting standards.
Must-Haves: Minimum Requirements:
- Education: J.D. from a nationally recognized law school.
- Licensing: Licensed to practice in at least one US state or the District of Columbia.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts, with a focus on complex commercial transactions.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Specialized Experience: Experience negotiating sourcing-supply contracts, development agreements, or licensing.
- Strong Academic Credentials
- Diverse Experience: Experience at both a law firm and in-house legal department.
