Summary Description:
As a Compliance Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that InDebted operates ethically and adheres to all relevant regulations. You’ll manage client audits, coordinate responses to regulatory examinations, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain a culture of compliance.
Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and understanding of the US regulatory environment will be essential to your success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Client Audits: Coordinate and manage responses to client audits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Regulatory Examinations: Assist with the timely collection and review of responses to external examinations by regulatory authorities.
- Maintain Compliance Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on applicable consumer protection laws and regulations, business operations, and internal compliance policies.
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and regulators to ensure all requests for information and audits are handled efficiently.
- Verify Risk Classification: Collaborate with business partners to verify risk classification and address questions on audits.
- Resolve Disputes: Research, respond to, and resolve complex or disputed audits.
- Enhance Audit Processes: Work with IT to streamline and improve the audit process through technology and automation.
- Track Remediation: Process and track audit remediation, ensuring timely resolution of any findings.
- Implement Change Management: Help design and implement a change management process to ensure audit remediation is effectively communicated and implemented throughout the organization.
- Develop Reporting: Design and implement management reporting to provide transparency into client audit activities.
- Support Compliance: Partner with the business to ensure compliant audit remediation.
- Coordinate On-Site Audits: Organize on-site seller audits, including agenda setting, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to Projects: Assist with other compliance-related projects as directed by management.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Support ad hoc reporting requests from management.
Experience and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 5-7 years of related and pertinent work experience.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Google Workspace applications.

- Knowledge of risk & compliance legislation in the context of debt collectors in the United States.

- Strong critical thinking skills and intellectual curiosity.
