Summary Description:
As a Senior Collection Agent, you’ll be a crucial part of our Customer Experience team, responsible for managing and overseeing the collection of outstanding accounts receivable. You’ll utilize a combination of communication tools to engage customers, understand their unique situations, and guide them toward resolving their past-due accounts. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior collection agents and supporting the Collections Manager in optimizing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Use various communication methods to engage with customers, understand their situations, and assist them in resolving their past-due accounts.
- Problem Resolution: Analyze customer concerns, clarify issues, propose solutions, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Compliance: Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performance Goals: Meet and exceed performance indicators related to annual fees and demonstrate alignment with InDebted’s core values.
Must-Haves:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable collections, ideally with personal loan and automotive loan products.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and provide world-class service.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to maximize recoveries in both early and late delinquency stages.
- Performance: Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed performance targets.
- Remote Work: Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, with a dedicated and professional workspace.
- Empathy and Results-Oriented: Ability to express empathy while maintaining a focus on achieving results.
- Flexibility: Highly dependable and flexible, with the ability to cover eight-hour shifts and navigate web-based tools.
- Teamwork: Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
